Elephant Rock is a standard at Valley of Fire, Nevada.. Usually it is shot from the other side where it looks more like an Elephant.. I did that too... But to my eye, this was the better look.... :dunno

I like yours better than mine. I only shot it from the other side. It was 110° outside and we were on day 15 of 16 and didnt have the fortitude left to try it from this side.

Congrats on the unique and interesting composition, Larry. Bonus points for the hazy sunstar too. You got a lot of detail out of the shady side of the rock, but you did leave a few tell-tale halos that could be cleaned up to make this image perfect.
