Western Grebe

Went out in the morning looking for the Western Grebe, and seen it, but was too far away and stayed that way all morning long. Took a Reference shot at the time and ended up going home with not one good shot of this bird.
My buddy calls me up wanting to go back there again and left the house at 4:00 PM and got there and headed for the spot where the sun was to our backs. We get there and the Western Grebe was right in front of us and we had to hurry to grab some shots as it was on the move in a hurry after seeing us. (Not a common bird for my area at all).

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thank you Harry, and the funny thing is that this bird is not supposed to be here according to the bird map I was looking at. Got lucky with the Western Grebe being here.

Very lucky I would think Pam, and good thing about him thinking of going back to the same place again. It sure turned out in our favor that is for sure.

Thanks Peter, and yes that red eye sure stands out and I think that you are right about being a beautiful looking bird.
