    Well, this is actually about the same area as the sand dunes of Tatooine where 3CPO and R2D2 were lost in the Star Wars movie...

    The scenes were shot in the opposite direction - my shot is looking southwest and those scenes were shot looking northeast...thumb.gif

    Yes, but George Lucas chose to use a more natural level of post processing to provide a backdrop for believable characters plodding along in a monotonous enviroment of cliche desert.

    I was there a few weeks ago just for that view... and some with the old Harmony Borax Works in the foreground...

    It rained on me both nights I was there and only cleared out when I left.. ne_nau.gif
