It poured rain this morning.......

Does anyone know what kind of birds, hawks, those are?
I am going to post them on the bird thread, too. This is as
close as I got and cropping does not give more info, it just
tears the birds apart. I had rain getting on my lens, it was
a nightmare of water in a heaven of birds.
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

Thanks, Johno. I had my 400 mm lens on. Between me and them was a watery marsh. It is always that way. With the rain, dark weather, and all, it was even worse than usual.

I did not have my backpack with me.........I might have tried an extender, have never used one with that lens. I used my monopod earlier, it actually got in my way for flight shots. With these birds, my car was as close as I was going to get anyway. Finding pieces of old paper to wipe the rain off my glass lens, it was more convenient in the car, not much drier, but more convenient. Sorry I am not closer to the birds. I would have liked to see more of them, too. I was using the window thing as a lens support. That is full frame with the 400.

Thanks for stopping and commenting, Johno. Where I went Sunday, was not in my car, it was a H of a long walk with heavy stuff.........there were no birds, I saw two vultures and one heron, that was it. The staff says that the rains have made the water too deep for the birds. I was shocked to find them this AM. (IN my red slippers)
