You can make your own watermark using Gimp. It's free and available at http://www.gimpshop.com/.

Also take a look at this tutorial - http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1690196.

Yep, and there's even a portable version if you don't want to install anything:

thanks guys, im on a mac so cant use the portable gimp, thats said im not the greatest when it comes to doing stuff like this..

If anyone has a watermark they could send me over id be forever grateful, something like a big C with a fairly thick cross going through it and cover the whole image, im thinking cross in red and C in white but anything dominant would do, i shoot mostly motocross pictures to sell and theres a very large amount of screen grabbing in this sector of photography. its a shame smugmug dont come up with a solution to it like a clear layer over the images so a screen grab just gets a blank image...

    thanks

The non-portable version is available for a mac.

You do realize this is not a smugmug issue, don't you? If an image is viewed in a browser a copy is available in the browser cache and can easily be grabbed from there.

I know the feeling...automotive sector here.

The watermark you're asking about has probably already been done. I'd try a google search and see what you can come up with. Then use an online image editor to see if you can change it as need be. There's a lot of free online image editors these days, so even downloading software may not be necessary.

You can download the stand alone client for Mac at http://www.gimpshop.com/

It should be pretty easy to do once you review the tutorial Denise mentioned.
