I was just reading the excellent link posted by Grayplayer http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=233183 - this bit in particular about using wide angle lenses for macro http://www.macro-photography.org/using_wide_angle_lenses_and_250d_filter/index.php
Thought I'd give it a try as I have a new Sigma 15mm fisheye on a full frame camera. I couldn't use my Raynox 250 clip on as the fisheye doesn't take filters due to the construction of the front of the lens. I tried ext tubes, but I couldn't get close enough to focus - the Sigma focussed on it's own at about 3 inches (it's only supposed to be 6 inches minimum focus). As you can see from the glasses shot it's very sharp.
I guess the article is suggesting using wide-angle if you don't have a macro lens, but I thought using a fisheye might give some interesting perspectives.
Anyone else tried this for macro?

If I post it, please tell me how to make it better. My fragile ego can take it.
