Heading to Brazil - whee!

Sorry I haven't been on here in quite a while but I had some health issues to deal with. Now I'm back in the swing of things and planning a trip to Brazil in October to shoot horses and landscapes - my two favourite subjects both separately and together.

In another chat group I'm involved with (on Facebook) there was recently a length discussion about a workshop that one of the participants had attended in New Zealand (at great expense). Apparently workshop participants were not permitted to post or share images they made during the workshop, that right being held exclusively by the workshop leader. It was an interesting discussion and I compared those restrictions (and frustrations) with the one I'm joining in the fall. What a difference!

For a few years now I have envied participants in the various workshops held in Portugal and Brazil by Paula da Silva. This year I signed up for Brazil on Focus and can hardly wait. All of us are enjoying over six months of mentoring in advance of the event (in October of this year) and Paula is very generous with both her time and her coaching. In her workshops model releases are provided too. Even though we haven't left our homes yet, I've already learned a great deal from this renowned and respected equine photographer.

This event, called Brazil on Focus, is scheduled from Oct. 1-9 and I am beyond excited to experience a new culture, a new land, a new landscape AND have the opportunity to learn a great deal while I'm there - and before.
Creating visual and verbal images that resonate with you.

Well, good on you, Ceci. I'm excited for you. I can't wait to see the work you generate. Have a great time...and be careful.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

15524779-Ti.gif What an awesome opportunity. I'd have to save up for quite a spell to do such a thing.
