Last weekend I wasn't paying attention what was up for the challenge, nor was I aware of the goings on in Old Towne (I seemed to be the only person who wasn't aware a steam train was coming!) Anyway, I happened upon the arrival of the steam train, welcomed to Petersburg by our friendly -re-enactors!
While Petersburg is not TECHNICALLY where I live....it's only about 3 minutes from the nowhere part of the county I DO live in...





I am heading north to my real hometown tomorrow, but if I don't find the perfect shot there, which are we feeling this way?
(and I know...they are people shots... but Petersburg is all about the Civil War...this is the location they filmed Lincoln last year)

I miss being about here...hopefully I will make it back more often!

Argh! This internet connection here at the hotel is so pitifully slow that by the time I got the photo I wanted to use uploaded, the challenge closed! Anyhow, here is my non-entry... well, never mind. The upload won't even go through... something about a security patch?? guess I will post when I get home.
