My daughter, Ruby (7) was in the studio to do some photography of her own. While she was there, I got her to pose for me. Here are the results. And yes, it is her guitar, she is starting lessons soon to be a real rock goddess! :)

Just a bit of fun, but constructive critique is always welcome. :)

I am going to point out the obvious..very underexposed and for rock goddess there is not much energy/attitude/playfulness in the shot!

Unfortunately, until she can hold the guitar properly (as it's too big for her) she wasn't able to jump around and really do it properly (I wouldn't let her - not enough room).

They are meant to be dark, however.

    Cheers

Show her a few of these for inspiration. Girls shredding on guitars. I like the last photo, has energy and the flares make it seem like it's in a venue.

I like #1. I think the lighting is good for the mood.

This will be a cherished family photo.

AS for energy, etc She is 7yo. Give her a break. Don't criticize her until she is at least 8yo. :D

Oh she has energy by the bucket load...I just made her tone it down as she's dangerous with the big guitar in a fairly small space! :)

    Cheers

Cute photos, and I like the desaturated version over the color one. I think people get caught up in the title. She doesn't have to go crazy head banging.

Thanks. I prefer the desat one too, I think.
And no, she doesn't have to go headbanging...she also does a good folk singer pose with the acoustic guitar! :)

Here is another one. It's Zoe Thomson when she was 7 years old, working on Sweet Child of Mine by Guns N Roses.
