Indeed, and mono was the original idea. I just liked the colour too - the eyes and so on just worked. And that colour on had no PP at all other than a touch of sharpening as you do from RAW. Was very pleased with myself for getting it so good in camera.
Cheers
Thank you.

How many takes did you have to do to get the light just right on her eyes?
Thank you.
Erm, a few. I initially had another light and was trying to get a little fill behind her, but it wasn't working. We decided to go in close, and above. katarina is also a photographer with a studio of her own, and knows her way around, so she really helped in getting the light in just the right place on her eyes. She took a few blinding flashes to get it right, too! Bless her!
Had to adjust the tilt of the slats in the blind, and the angle of the light too. The light is gridded as well. Few changes of lighting power, and of Aperture to get just the right shadow detail.
But none of it was stressful - Katarina is prepared to wait, and try and try again until it's sorted.
Thanks
I know what you mean - I suppose if I'd be going completely for the look I would have cloned it. But I just accepted it - sort of like a modern take on the theme.
I am planning some Pin Up with a model with a load of tattoos - definitely out of keeping with the genre (based on the old stuff) but brought up to date.
I may clone the stud, and have both!
Cheers
