Night Lights

I just recently bought a 14mm f/2.8 from Samyang (does anyone else have this amazing lens??) and I took it out on my way home late last night for a test run. The image I came home with has got to be one of my favourites I've ever taken!

I was out on the end of a point looking back from the lake near my house so I got the water on both sides of the shot. The lights from suburbia also lit up the clouds on the right which provided a nice balance to the shot. I'm so stoked with how it turned out! :D

I'm only just getting into this night photography thing so if you have any critiques, they are most certainly welcome!

I actually whistled as this popped up on the screen. Just Spectacular! One of these days I'll have to get away from all this light pollution.

That is one of the coolest night shots I've seen. Do you mind sharing camera settings?

Thanks. Sure thing, I shot this on my Nikon D600 with the Samyang 14mm at f/2.8. The exposure was 30 seconds and ISO 1600.

No critiques here, Karl! That image rocks!

And I agree, those lit clouds on the right really help to balance the whole composition, nice work! thumb.gif
