Opening Day - High School Baseball

Wandered out to catch the first game of the season of our local high school baseball team.

Was a very overcast day with on and off sprinkles.

Only spot that I didn't have to shoot through chain link was on the first base side.

Shot with a Nikon 80-400mm f4/5.6 NOT the best sports lens around because of speed and slow focus, but I just didn't have enough reach with the 70-200 2.8 on a FX.

Would it be better to add a telecoverter to the 70-200 on overcast day's or would it be a wash?
