hey everyone, my parents just asked me what I wanted for christmas and I know I want a new camera...but I dont know what would be best for me.

Im currently shooting the canon powershot A80, its a nice little camera and ill continue to use it on risky hikes, but im ready for a change. price range below 1k and digital. I shoot nature - waterfalls and landscapes mainly.

any suggestions? id really appreciate it. :thumb

also, you can check out my site if you think you know a camera that would work good for my "style".

Well you could go for a Canon Digital Rebel (Also called the 300D) and then buy a nice lens or 2. If you need the extra features, then I would suggest getting the Digital Rebel XT. It is around $1000 and is a great camera. (It's also very small)

I would suggest going to a camera shop and tyring these 2 cameras out. Do a bit of researching before making your decision, though. Good luck!

I agree with Red Bull, the 300D or a 10D (you can pick them up used for $600 in great condition). Then pick up a couple of decent lenses.
