Geese

These pictures of geese in Boston during February. I took this with a Canon Rebel t3i and a 55-250mm telephoto lens.
Please leave advice!!!

    Welcome to the forum. These are called butt shots. I Suggest capturing the birds in profile . Or 3/4 facing the camera. There are lots of tutorials to learn from here. Keep posting.

    Whilst I'd generally agree that 'rear end' shots are less likely to be successful than other (more usual) povs, it is possible to get something worth keeping, sometimes - imo.

    I'd suggest getting as close as possible to the subject's eye level is more likely to pay bigger dividends :)

    I'd also say this is especially true in certain circumstances - eg small mammals / waterfowl etc.

    Takes time to get used to this sort of approach - and you'll need either an angle finder or cam with articulated lcd - but it's well worth the effort.
