As it runs through the Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve. Most of the the greenery is seasonal to the spring and early summer.

When swimming in these creeks as a kid, we called this stuff Elephant Snot.

Thanks Josh, for the comment and suggestion (which I agree with).
I neglected, on this visit, to get any closer or detail shots rolleyes1.gif, but, I'll be going back and will git-r-done then!

Thanks so much Don, for the feedback! It is a fairly uncommon scene here in our arid Southwest.

Thank-you Sam, for the look and comment - very appreciated!
These limey shades of green are so different than evergreen regions,
and the underwater mosses grow only between winter gully-washers and summer trickle.

Great creek, Eric. Nice colors. I like the elephant snot. :D

It would be interesting to see this area in softer lighting.

Boy....rocks and streams. They're both strong pulls on me. Great job on capturing these, Eric.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
