These wrecks are well known photo ops on the Isle of Mull. They are close the the main road and everyone stops to get a shot. I was just lucky enough to pass by while they were being bathed in late afternoon light.

Really well done, Werner. thumb.gif Nice composition and you certainly caught some terrific lighting.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thanks Tom, as usual, in Scotland and the Hebrides, there's not a lot of room to get a car off the road but I couldn't pass up that light.

This is a super image, Werner. I keep coming back to it. Sweet light and really cool old boat wrecks. Terrific processing, but I'd straighten the horizon.

Thank joel, I'm not sure what to do with the horizon. The shoreline is receding looking from right to left. The view is "outbound" toward the mouth of a harbor.

Since the horizon is close to the center of the height of the frame, I don't think this is entirely a perspective issue. Even if it were, I don't think most folks would appreciate that and instead just see a tilted shot. But, that's just me and it's a great shot either way. thumb.gif

I edited the original rather than have two versions. I think you are right, joel. It looks better whether it is technically correct or not. My D7000 was still new last fall and I hadn't yet developed the habit of flicking on the viewfinder level before clicking the shutter. I'm doing a bit better these days but it still isn't instinctive.
