We have Louisiana Black Bears on Avery Island, but it is rare to see them, as they are nocturnal. We saw these two in the late afternoon, naturally when the sun was in the worst possible spot. But I clicked away, and got a few usable shots, though no real standouts. Still, it was exciting just to see them, and we did watch them for almost an hour. All comments and suggestions welcome and appreciated. Best, Pam

PS: I should have mentioned that Louisiana Black Bears are known for their narrow and longer skulls than other bears. You can really see it in these photos. And I hope the cub grows into his ears! Best, Pam

Some very nice shots Pam. Although the cubs are cute, I have to go with the mom shot for the she has given you.
