Lightroom tone curve

got a question about tone curve in develop-section

you see first , in basic-panel, there is highlights / shadow and blacks adjustment
all clear
below that , there is tone curve adjustment
also clear

i want to know the exact difference between the two
should i use them both ( i am ) , then how ?
are they related to each other ?
i can't imagine they are both the same thing

i can handle LR pretty well
all i want to know is the real difference between the two adjustment options , if any

i assume there must be some sort of difference , i cant imagine that they have put two of the same things in it

Each of the four sliders at the top adjust bands in the histogram. If you select one, you will see the band slightly grayed in the histogram. Then slide it, and you will see what it does. The tone curve tool allows you to modify the histogram however you want.

still dont see the different

in curve section you can fine-tune it ( add points in the curve ) , even per separate color-channel
but thats the only thing i found

They both adjust tonality, but differently. See this link for a good explanation.
