This guy was one of the best models I've ever had, I was able to get great DOF cause he held perfectly still while I shot at f22 with 3 second shutter. For you spider lovers out there, you'll be happy to know he was released back into the wild. BTW This guy was huge! His body would have covered a dime and his legs would have reached around a silver dollar! :huh

Cool, I didn't use a flash cause I thought it wouldn't make a difference on a 3 second exposure, but I'm still learning, I'll have to try that next time. Thanks for the tip!

Yep, roaming along the curb just outside my work... I have to admit, there were times when I was looking through the viewfinder and I was afraid he was going to jump on my face or something, being that my face was about 9 inches away from this guy with one eye closed and the other looking through the viewfinder.

Thanks for the compliment Viking.

I went back through my shots and found that this close-up had some more detail, enjoy...

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks Harry. He was such a good sport about being photographed I didn't have the heart to send him to the great big web in the sky. Besides, with the size of this guy, it would have taken a mop and bucket to clean up the aftermath.
