This challenge is for all dgrin members.

It will run from Monday, April 29, 2013 8:00pm PST time (GMT -8) on through Monday, May 13, 2013 8:00pm PST time (GMT -8).

The theme this round for your interpretation will be: Sunrise or Sunset

Quite simple, capture a sunrise or sunset in all its glory! Don't be caught without a camera for the next couple weeks during sunrises or sunsets. See if you can catch one or the other daily and enter your very best one! Even with cloud cover, sometimes you can catch the sun just as it hits the horizon beneath the cloud layer or around the clouds as a silver linning. Good luck!

NO EDITING RESTRICTIONS!

Your Judge:
1 round 72 Hour Public Vote.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your entry is to be submitted directly into a SmugMug gallery. It's pretty simple, just go to the gallery link below, and follow the upload instructions at the top of the page:

DSS 128 Gallery

Remember, the basics stay the same: 1 entry per person, and the photo must be fresh, taken during this contest period. Do not use a minimal save method (such as "save for web"), and your EXIF will be embedded in your image, no worries!

To avoid disqualification, read, in full, the Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenge
RULES.

Not a good start... All foggy tonight... So did not take my camera out to take a white picture... :-)

Thank you WhatSheSaw and richtersl. I am pretty certain the birds are not gulls, I am not certain of what kind of birds they are though.

I hate it when that happens. Maybe you could do a wake up scene - coffee on the porch on a rainy day kind of thing.

You have found the hidden "hide it" button. Just re-enter your image again. I will take care of deleting the other one. It happens.ne_nau.gif

We go out to dinner every week, but we eat early and this time of year the sun doesn't set until after we are home. :(

This is one of my favorite sunrises (1966)

    and one from 2008

I do have more sunsets because back when we were living on our boat, I was usually up to see the sunrise and also outside at sunset. When we are living in the house, I am in bed at the time of sunrise and sunset.

This will be my first challenge. I'm taking my camera wherever in order to get a descent shot. I love sunrises and sunsets.
I've tried some shots before, like this.

Just one more sunrise and sunset before this challenge closes. There are some really awesome images submitted already, but I was guessing we would have at least twice as many as there is right now! ne_nau.gif
