A rare use of selective colour

    The shot itself is a nice one however the item the boy is holding is too small for a selective color. I'm not sure why you would want your viewer's eye to be drawn to it. I'm assuming its a feather since the feather on his hat is also yellow.

    Its a lovely shot, but I still cant see a reason to use selective colour. I agree David, the object is too small to even see clearly what it is and for the viewers attention to be drawn to it. The faces are far more alluring and the frame would benefit from just being a classic monochrome.
    But thats just my own opinion... ;-)

    Agree with the above comments. It's an elegant shot, so no need for trickery.
