If you are judging the challenge, you might not want to comment, the second one will be my entry unless something changes drastically.

But enjoy.

And others comments are welcomed. I read them all and appreciate them. I have been having Adobe/computer/something problems and other things going on, so I have been spending time trying to get some of my important photos down to smugmug.

Stop and chat, I love it!

Ben, you should have seen that bird hopping around. He/she was fishing,rolleyes1.gif .

The bird would be very serious and suddenly jump up, out and whatever with wings up, not really to fly, but ............??? It looked like he was trying to scare the fish to death, or shade them so he could see. These birds really could use glasses of some sort, for the sun, the refraction or whatever.

I got many shots, but I was shooting down, at a distance, it was difficult to get the bird in with the reflection. Also, I rejected, today, for the time being, the ones with the birds head above the land. I have many reflection shots of other birds. Shots I really like, but this egret seems the most dramatic to me.

Anyone, all the shots I took on Tues and Wed were with my 400mm lens. I carried the others. I don't remember taking either the wide or the 70-200 out of my backpack. Not that I remember.

    Ginger,

I really like #2. They are both nice but there is just "something" about #2.

Thanks, Stef, and I agree with you. I did not notice either of those shots in the thumbnails yesterday. Then today I noticed the first one. Thought I would work up the second one since I was in that area of photos.

And it came out best. I like it for many reasons, one is that the background is darker and does not distract. Also, there is something very intent about that bird. And with that dance he was doing I would imagine that he would be intent, smile.

    Thanks,

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
