Painted Hills in Oregon

Friday I took the day off of work to go with some friends to shoot the Painted Hills in central Oregon. This was my first time visiting this place and it was just beautiful. Very peaceful and scenic in a unique way. Everywhere I turned I was thinking "this is so awesome" with all the texture, colors and depth. It proved a little difficult for me to really feel the epicness I felt in person, but got a couple I like.
For slightly larger versions, or the versions on my site itself, you can visit the gallery here. It only has the same images though.
So here's 4 of my favorites.
I'm having more and more fun trying to capture panoramic style photos, so here's a couple attempts at doing that.
And nothing would be complete without some sort of bench being backlit, right?

It is called Painted Hills and part of the John Day Fossil Beds National monument. A little NE of Prineville/Bend for reference. We only visited one area as we got there about a half hour before sunset. I definitely want to go back and do some of the hiking trails and other places they mention on the website there.
