These are my first couple shots with my new created studio. I'm looking for real opinions. It's the only way I'll get better... so start beating.

(3) Britek HS-2000 Lights (440w each)
Commercial background.

Canon 18-55mm Lens

Try shooting with just a single light. When all of them are on and equal brightness all around, you only have "illumination". If you vary the brightness and direction of the light, you have "lighting" which is more interesting to look at.

So basically what I mean is, shadows are not bad. They help define shape. So by starting out with a single light, you are nearly certain to get shadows. Learn how to deal with them and make them look good. Then move on to a second light that lights the background or maybe provides a rim of light or fill. Then continue adding light to solve other lighting problems as it pleases you.

Don't try to do it all at once, it takes a while to learn these things. But you have the tools now to dig in :-)

Excellent Shay... thanks for the instruction. I'll do exactly as you suggest and see what I can come up with. I'm shooting through light box to try to soften the shadows otherwise they seem so distinct. Thanks for the advice.
