Very strange sculptures, wonder what the story is behind them?
They're the work of Antonio López García, a well-known Spanish painter and sculptor. I think I recall reading that they were supposed to be his grandchildren, but I wouldn't swear that's true. Thanks for looking.

Interesting shots. When I looked at the first one, I thought the 'eyes shut' belonged to the man on the left. I got a surprise when I scrolled down. As a woman, I cringed a bit at the size of those heads. ;0)

Really. Take a look at the second link Tony posted.
It appears straight forward ,but still very vague. Finding the balance point to lift the thing would have been a feat in itself. A lifting eye would have been designed into the structure to adequately support the weight, before it was even built.
Never mind the task of loading and off loading.
