These are great captures and exposures. 5 is awesome. 3 is a little... shall we say, intimate? I don't like the tackle.

You have fast lenses, but it looks like these were shot stopped down, any particular reason? I would think you'd be able to get more bg blur with your gear. And why not for sale?

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

    Hi Jack,

Thank you for finding time to view & commentthumb.gif. Kind regards Graham

I know the tackle may look strange but the saying in Rugby for a defence is "you can't run without legs"thumb.gif.

The lenses are stopped down a bit for 2 reasons!,

1, a little more depth of field is preferred on tackles etc to cover a few "focus plains" &
2, It was varying from super bright to cloudy so a mean ISO of approx 400 was set which in a fast moving sport like Rugby it was easier to alter apature to accomodate #1 reason, if that makes senceheadscratch.gif.
As for watermarked "not for sale", My licence to cover Rugby in the UK at this top flight level is governed by the RFL (rugby football league), who have, among their directives, stipulations that all images must be watermak covered & no personal sales allowed to protect the players copyright status.
At least I am allowed to show the images, I also cover Premier League/Championship League Pro Football (Soccer), & their ruling body stipulate I am not allowed to show the games images ANYWHERE!, unless it's a" tear sheet" image already used in the press!ne_nau.gif
