Thanks for the comments. The light was interesting, the sun was above a cloud lighting the mountain and the same cloud was projecting a shadow in the foreground.

Very Nice! Loved rest of your gallery too. Something special about those pictures in their simplicity. thumb.gif

Very nice photo. You are covering very long area in to one frame. You choose perfect position to catch this photo and shade to black and white of the photo looks awesome.
I want to ask Which camera you use for this photography.

Thank you. I used a Nikon D800 with a 70-200 2.8 lens. Thanks for looking!

Amazing looking landscape ! Love the different layers of colors, texture and swooping lines. I wonder what happened to cause this , every thing seems to push in one direction. Must have been nice experience being out there .thumb.gifthumb

It was a special afternoon for sure. Moab is a magic place, I have been going on a yearly mountain bike pilgrimage for the past three years and I'm already longing to go back!

    Thanks!
It was taken from the Gemini Bridges trail close to Moab facing East, maybe South East. The Capitol Reef Is West of there as I understand.

    Thanks for looking.
