Action in Front of the Goal

This shot brought me some very nice comments from the parents. I like it too. I wish I had more to the left and less to the right, since the action's moving from right to left, but I got three faces, the ball, opponents, and contact.

Its a nice shot. Good action and colors. But I would consider crop out (or possibly clone out) the random hand and foot on the right edge.

Thanks, Tony. You got me to thinking. Since the space to the right of the action was a distraction anyway, just get rid of it. How's this?

I agree with Tony. Good light and exposure too. It's a winner.

Edit - I like the crop. The girl's rippling leg muscle really distracts me though. Looks like a tough clone job though, so I'd probably just leave it.

Thank you Jack. Yeah, that tendon really is under stress. I (and hopefully she) can live with it though. I NEVER publish a photo of a ripply thigh. I'd never be forgiven. Even badass athletes are still teenaged girls at heart.iloveyou.gif Negative clarity and reverse sharpening with a Lightroom local adjustment brush have saved a lot of otherwise good shots of female athletes. :D

    I like the new crop!

Funny stuff about the rippling muscles....I think it adds to the "moment" in time. But vanity is what it is. rolleyes1.gif

"Moment in time" is one thing, but this will never win you any friends.
