Alanah's hobby is surfing and modeling so we attempted to combine the two.

I really love #2. That one is just beautiful. I also like the silhouette in #6. The only one I don't care for is #3 and it is the pose that doesn't work for me. Overall, looks like a good day at the beach to me! :D

Great set with the exception of number 3 which is a very unflattering pose, made all the more unflattering since the girl is so pretty as the other shots show.

    Thanks. For most of these I used a Nikon 70-200 VRI on a D3s. 4 and 5 were with a 18-200 VR on a D300.

Thanks!. I guess for 3 the first thing I noticed was her smile and not the pose.

good to know. thanks. My least fav, by the way was #3. something about the straight on pose. . .

still, nice shots. Of course, it helps that she is so pretty!

Two, four and six are my picks for "put in a frame and hang em on the wall". I'd clone out the "eye" logo on the board on four though.

    A very Nice series!

I agree with others. Get rid of three. Makes her butt look big and it's anything but.

That's interesting on 3 and I can see the point. On FB it is one of the most liked pics in the series.

    Fabulous set, esp 6 & 7.

The only one I'm iffy about is 5, and I think it's processing - did you use a gradient? The sky looks unaturally dark on the lh side.

Nice work. I agree with others that #3 is not like the other great photos in this set. BTW, How does a surfer have such a nice smile when the waves are so flat?

I didn't do anything much in post processing. I used a polarizer on the lens, underexposed the background and then used an alien bee with an umbrella.

The overall feel of the set is great. #2, #6, and #7 are just great. Really, really nice job on these.
