Where do you turn captions "on" as the default for a slideshow. I have to turn it on each time I start the slideshow. I know it is in there somewhere.

Thanks

It appears to stick when you use the style dropdown, and choose captions.... If you close browser and come back, you'll still have captions turned on. Not so for full-screen slideshow, I'll check on that. Thanks, and wave.gif welcome to Dgrin!

Full-screen is where I was wanting to use it.

    Hey,

I just wanted to bump this thread.

Captions are not showing up for me for full screen slideshows for either IE or Firefox on Win XP.

Any way to make them show up? I think a lot of people use that version of the slideshow and will miss out on any captions I enter.

click letter C on your keyboard that toggles captions on / off.

    Hey, that worked!

    I have 2 followups:

    1) Is there any way to make them show up by default?
    2) Is there any way to make the black box disappear when the image doesn't have a caption?

    Thanks again!

I've searched this forum to see if #1 below was possible and didn't find anything other than threads similar to this. Has there been any change?

I would assume it could be a configuration tag attached to the URL such as

    sspopup.mg?AlbumID=xxxxx&Captions=yes

I don't want to have to manually set this because I've given out the direct fullscreen slideshow link to people.
