KINGfisher, really, come see!
and look at how small this little bird is! I don't even know why I looked twice. And I had to use my 400 lens like binoculars to see if it was anything interesting. I almost fell over. No wonder I never see these things. They might be all over for all I know. This photo is full frame, or almost, but taken with the 400mm lens on wednesday.
I knew this was the darn kindfisher, but my lens didn't want to focus on it. So I winged it before it disappeared totally. The only reason it hung around long enough to take the photo was it was having trouble flying into the gale wind out where I was. Darn bird kept getting hung up by the wind, and my lens couldn't see this thing.
This is a crop. I know there are no eyes, but there is a bird, more than I had before! These things are tiny! The type is bigger than the bird!

After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

Nice shots even if they are far away, but you did much better then I did.

Darn bird may be pretty, but it is the size of a mosquito.
The crows are bigger, and I have some cool crow photos!
But the Kingfisher, well, don't know why they call "him" King.
