statcounter for smugmug no longer tracks pages views, ect???

Is there not a way to get this working anymore? The statcounter install guile for smugmug says the following:

Smugmug does not allow the use of Javascript. For this reason, some stats will be unavailable - for example; referring links, keyword analysis, page titles, dowloads, etc...
These instructions have been compiled and verified: January 2013

Why a downgrade in functionality? This is highly problematic as I dont like google analytics and have been a longtime statcounter user.....

    I'm not sure what guide you're looking at. I would recommend you use ours from # 40 of the customization faq. I'm not aware of any changes to it. So if you already have the code in place, there should be no need for any change.

    I still have the same code in there that I added all these years ago when I signed up with Statcounter and it works fine.

    Ive attempted it and it doesnt work. Something has changed definitely. I had a smugmug site for a good length of time and had to suspend service a few months back. When I signed up again, of course I had to reset my customizations. When I first had service, yes, the above tutorial worked. Now, on Statcounter, youre instructed to use a particular install set and you get the above quote from my first entry which was not there previously.

    Again, if theres something im missing or if someone can help me get page view specifics working again, that would be very helpful. Currently, I only see when galleries are hit...there are no details on what pics people are viewing, ect.

    Please post a link to your site so we can take a look at what you have. I'm getting results from today using StatCounter on my two sites.

    You are using the wrong form of statcounter (you're using the image load, non-script form) and should use the javascript form which you can paste into your custom footer. When you use the right form, you will get a lot more statistics.

    No stats for today
    unless I go to a gallery, can see it's stats there.......but not on the big view.

    No Smugmug stats? Or no StatCounter stats? This thread is about StatCounter stats. If you want to inquire about Smugmug stats, I'd suggest you post a new thread in the Smugmug support forum and be very clear about what you expecting to see that you aren't seeing.

    SmugMug stats are being worked on. See the status page > stats section. No need to file any new reports for this at this point.
