Removing Watermarks from entire site

I recreated my watermark this weekend to match my logo. I went into the site settings and deleted the current watermarks with intent to replace them with the new ones. It's been a couple days since I did this and when I checked today, the old watermarks are still on every gallery, but the settings show no watermarks.

How can I have the watermarks completely removed from all my galleries so that they can be remarked?

How did you delete the watermarks? If you just deleted the watermark from the gallery setting that only changes it for new photos added to the gallery. You need to explicitly remove it from the photos already in that gallery.

From the help page at http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93343-how-do-i-watermark-photos-:
    Removing watermarks
Change your mind? Remove watermarks from many or all photos in your gallery:
Choose Watermarking from the Tools Menu. Then select your thumbnails, choose remove and click the watermark button.
You don't need to remove the old watermarks before applying a new one.

As far as I know applying or removing watermarks needs to be done gallery-by-gallery. Hopefully someone from smug will confirm (or deny) that!

    Hi Denise,

You are correct. You must add, remove, or change watermarks on the gallery level.

You could do every photo on your site but it'd take some time.
    http://bradipock.smugmug.com/date
Then select the time line that includes all photos.
In the resulting gallery under tools > many photos > more > watermarking

I had originally tried the remove from all galleries, which didn't work period. Wasn't aware it didn't apply to existing. Just changing it in the galleries now. Thanks for the help and understanding.

C'mon Smugmug! This is ridiculous! What kind of customization is this? Basically, I can't change my watermarks then, unless I want to sit down for a month straight and do this one gallery at a time. Give me a break. Yet another way that Smugmug leaves sportshooters, event shooters, who have hundreds and even thousands of galleries, without any help for them.

See Allen's answer in your thread (asking for a faster way to change watermarks) here.

Denise and Allen are correct. The workaround is as follows.

From your homepage click Homepage Layout then click Timeline.
On the Timeline click the "All" link
The "gallery" that loads will be all photos on your site
Click Tools > Many Photos > More > Watermarking
Then on the next page you can add/remove watermarks as you need
Then you can go back to your homepage and "hide" the timeline.

    I hope this helps!

Beware - this will also include all your private/passworded/unlisted galleries. I see no way to bulk do only public galleries.
