Black bear

After years of trying I finally got a half-decent photo of a black bear. It was starting to get dark out, so hardly a great photo from technical perspective, but with a healthy crop the composition is OK.

I took the photo with Nikon D5100 and 70-300mm telephoto. I didn't have much time, so put it on automatic (no flash) and sprayed+prayed.

I saw this guy at Zumwalt Meadows in Kings Canyon National Park. I've been there twice and am now two-for-two on bear sightings, both late in the day when it wasn't too crowded.
