nice shot, I have not been fortunate enough to get one I really like from the base of the falls. I have a couple that came out ok from the overlook at the road but something has always ruined my close ups from below.

Thanks, it took several attempts to get something that looked ok and settled on this one. It is a beautiful place, I also shot some from the overlook, but preferred this. Thanks for looking.

Very nice image Cristóbal - I think you got just the right look on the falling water - very silky!
On my screen, I see a spot on the left edge of the waterfall. Is that a bit of the rock-face showing through?
It catches my eye because of the perfect, even appearance of the water - no biggie tho...

    Thanks Eric,

You're right, there is a spot. I looked at it at 100% and it seems like a rock, either that or I have a major speck on my sensor! I will look at other pics I took at slightly different angles and see if it is there or not.

    Thanks for looking.

Nice grab. I like this view of the falls. Grew up not too far from here, in Syracuse actually. Brings back memories of a couple visits. Thanks!

I grew up in Ithaca. I remember when we were kids we used to walk up the river and see who could get closest to the falls. Good shot.

Very nice! Funny how images, smells & sounds can transport you back in time. I had a girlfriend in college that went to Ithaca & that image brought back memories - pleasant ones and not bad memories so a good thing!

Love the shot & thanks for sharing!

a lot of CNY'ers on here! always cool to see local places on a forum with members from around the world.

I am going to have to try and get back down there again this summer at some point and see if i can get a better angle.
