Saving photo to new phone problem?

Hello everyone! I have read most all of the Iphone5 sticky, downloaded the app, talked to my local phone sales peeps where I just purchased the IPhone5, and a few more hours also trying to get my smuggy photos to show up in my Iphone5 album. In the past I just held down a finger on a pic from my smuggy photos and it saved to the phone. I loved just having my favorites only and also the ones I wanted to use for sales.

Of course new tech always changes things and I can't do the same on the 5. I have to either sync it to Itunes, which I don't have them in a separate gallery, [and I used my husbands Itunes so I could use the apps I wanted]. Now it's not a piece of cake as it used to be, complicating it more. Now I have to go through all my photos again looking for my favs, [hours] and make a new album of them and sync it to Itunes....or---I did the smugmug app and like it, thanks, but back to the problems of "favorite" photos. I don't want 11,000 photos on my phone! lolol Just some 60 samples of my work.

The conclusion of doing this the fastest way possible is to go through 20 or so Galleries on my smug-site and choose from each, making a new 'favorite' gallery. I have done this before but I don't want to 'move' the photos, just make a copy and add it to a new favorite gallery. Then add it to the SmugWallet for use on my phone. Can I pick, copy and add to the new favorite gallery in each photo all at once?:scratch

Also, I called Apple because the guy at ATT said there might be a glitch on my new phone because I should be able to hold down and choose to save any pics from my website. I tried a flickr photo and it did save to the phone. So she felt it was a smugmug problem, not the phone. I don't mind the workaround, but just trying to shorten up all the hours I have put in to this. Not a good time, I'm going to Yellowstone in 4 days!:bow

Hi Linda,

To save a photo on your iPhone, you need to be viewing the Full Site view, and not using the Mobile viewing option. Hit the Save Photo icon and the original should appear for you to tap and save to your phone.

The Full Site link is at the bottom of the page, next to the Login link.

thnx Lindy, will try that today! I struggled first with sizes, and spent an hour finding and adding some favs to the phone, and they were all blank/black , so hope this solves it.:D Will reply back later! Thnx again for your time.

Ohh one question, will I have trouble viewing from my main webpage because I downloaded the wallet app? thnx

BTW I chose 8 photos from one of my smug galleries to go to my new favorite gallery and it only offers to "move" them. What should I do with these eight to prevent them from being moved, but copied to the favorites gallery? I don't see that offered. thnx

OK thnx also for the hint about full view off main site page. It did copy! So now I have two optionsand leisurely choose my favs on my long trip to Wyoming.
