Has this happened t you? I was at my usual watering hole (about 30 degrees F for you southern boys and girls) when I was surprised by what has to be the last great blue heron left in New York State - the others in my area all left long ago. But, alas, I was too close to fit him in while heading at me...also saw some swans, a crow, and hawks with just so-so results...

Hope you enjoy...Keith

does this happen to me .......... Oh just every time I go Machine Gunning :lol4

Part of the agony and ecstasy I think of shootin birdies.
In fact Jeff and I have so many shots with birdie parts missing we are thinking of starting a, "Show us your chopped parts thread" rolleyes1.gif , honest !!

Your GBH will fit right in nicely, so stay tuned thumb.gif
I like the swans as well :D

That second shot is excellent Keith. Everytime I go out I find that the birds are either too close or too far depending on what lens I'm using. I'm convinced taht they watch me. As soon as I put the 500mm on my camera its a sign for all of them to move in as close as they can get. The kingrisher used to stay just outside of the reach of my 80-400. After I got the 500mm and the 1.4 TC he started staying even further out. Brids are evil.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
