Yeah, I know. I told her we should do some of her senior portraits (still 3 years away, thank goodness!) with kitty ears. She was not amused
Seems I only get to take pictures these days when she's had a haircut (it's my price ) - we were just back from the salon so grabbed a few. She needs a new headshot for her theater group audition in the fall anyway so was amping up to maximum "work the camera". She's instinctively so good at it when she's engaged that all I do is push buttons
it's gorgeous shot but there is something weird with the catch lights in her eyes..there is "arrow" shape in her irises that almost looks like a mouse cursor..I actually thought my mouse cursor was in her eye for a second!
It's so funny, I love complex catchlights like these, but even a non-photogrpaher friend commented on them so they obviously bug a lot of people. Will play with them! Her eyes turn that colour when the light hits them; I brightened them a tiny bit, but not that much.
In the meantime, France minus 2 days - talk about WHIRLWIND!!
The catchlights do not bother me. I like them! I'm used to these complex catchlights from the garage. I've got some shots where I can clearly see my silhouette in the garage door opening when I zoom in on the eyes!
She certainly has developed into a stunning young lady. As a father of one that age, I feel your pain.
This shot is what I would refer to as "Divaesque" with the depth of field. I like everything about it but still can't wrap my head around the fact that things I think should be in focus are out of focus. I know that's your "thing", so I will just deal with it.
I think the catch lights would work better with a large print on the wall than they do in a small image on a computer screen.

When did that happen?
