anyone knows what it is ?
i was shooting this bee ( mother w egg )
then she went berserk and fell down ( good opportunity to make same shots )

what i like to know is what the white stuff is ( and how come ? )

    I think the 'egg' might be either a parasitic or hitch hiking mite of some kind.

    Not sure what it is but Varroa mites have been named as contributors to colony collapse disorder. Wonder if this is one?

    Good shots- as commented the lump is a mite, the white stuff is just pollen. Bumble bees can go into a variety of odd states. They can get cold or run out of fuel or seemingly sometimes get too much fuel and start going hyperactive. They normally recover after a while.
