Unable to Stretch

I've had my site on SmugMug for years and can not get stretch to work. I think I've read everything written on this topic and still can't get it to work.

I have stretch set in Advanced Customer and Carbon Fiber set in Theme. I have CSS style sheet in the Theme.

No matter what I do, I have wide bars of gray on both sides of boxes. Boxes stacked on top of each other with wide bands of useless space on each side.

Any solution?
