Farewell and Welcome - Cats and Kittens

We recently lost our 18-year-old cat, John Brown. He was ill but was still happy. He spent his last 2 days lounging in the sunny window and sitting in my lap. It was very hard but letting him go was the right thing to do. I still keep looking for him to walk into the room.

This weekend, we brought home two 12-week-old kittens. They'd been at the vet for weeks, looking for homes, so we finally decided they were meant to come to our home. I am now crazy, since our pet population is now up to 6. It seems that each time we lose a pet we get 2 more later. We just thought the two littermates would help raise each other until they are big enough to join the rest of the family.

Thought you pet lovers might enjoy a peek at our feline family. I will post pics of the 2 dogs another time.

So sorry for your loss. It is terribly difficult to say goodbye to our fur babies, even when we know it's the right thing to do.

Lovely looking feline family. Currie reminds me of our Halo - but her 'base' colour is black, as you know.

Enjoy the antics. Should make for some great photos!

I'm so sorry for your loss. My sister just lost her cat Abby about two months ago. She recently found a kitten to adopt bringing her total back up to seven cats and two dogs. I'm sure your new additions will bring you lots of love and enjoyment.

    They are all so beautiful.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

Pets are an incredible joy, and tremendous sorrow when their all too short lives are at an end.

Try and remember the love you as a human being shared with a different species, and having
that ability allows you to be more complete.
