Series of images taken at Fell Foot, up Longridge way (outside of Preston in the Trough of Bowland). These paragliders often go there and launch themselves into the thermals then soar in the sky before landing safely on the hillsides.

I'm not sure how dangerous it really is, but if you consider leaping off a mountain into what you hope is a strong enough breeze as safe, I think I would label it dangerous enough! I sure wouldn't have the guts to do that. It seems the landing is very easy in comparison to that initial jump!
