Very nice and dramatic. The sunlit portion is a nice and warm next to the cold rocks.

I love mountains and this one looks bit gnarly and intimidating! Awesome! LOVE the composition and light. With poor composition many a mountains turn into hills and this one captures the majesty of the peak perfectly! I am however getting a little bit sense off graininess and am not getting sharpness either. Is it hand-held, high ISO, and large f-stop shot? Usually that is what happens to me. I couldn't see any info by clicking on it and don't know how to extract exif data still. Would appreciate exposure info. Thanks.

thanks... this was a relatively slow shutter - 1/25 - @ f/8, ISO 400. i'm trying to recall if this was shot freehand or off a tripod... i took a number of shots here, and the first dozen or so were handheld... this may be one of those.

thanks! this isn't true HDR... it was done using ReDynaMix, which gives HDR-like results with a single image. i find that used with care, it actually produces a better result, and is MUCH faster and easier - and for $16, it's a lot cheaper than Photomatix Pro!!

Thanks for getting back. IMHO the handheld for 1/25 is most likely the reason it is not as sharp. Great shot nonetheless! Cheers!

yeah, i'm fairly steady, but 1/25 is just too slow, even for me. :D
