Female deerfly, preparing to bite (me)

A slightly busy background, but I had no alternative. I was working on shots of a wildflower when this one landed on my knee and prepared to eat. She's sitting on my leg, on green nylon supplex pants. I have another when she was pushing her proboscis through the fabric, but it was blurred, and I shooed her off before she could really bite.
