Since I've been down in North Carolina, I seem to have developed a fondness for shooting waterfalls. Primarily in the mountains in the western part of the state, there are hundreds of waterfalls of different heights and sizes. Saturday morning, I set out for Blowing Rock, in the northwest part of NC, chasing a few waterfalls on and near the northern section of the Blue Ridge Parkway. After a semi-successful day, my last stop was Moravian Falls, in the town of the same name. The falls are located at a small campgrounds, with an old mill next to the falls.

Good stuff here, John. Every waterfall up there was really roaring recently and you did a great job on capturing this one. I particularly like that you included all the scenic elements together in # 1.

That's a serious metal wheel on that old mill. I don't remember seeing one like that before. Good shot on that.

    Take care,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
