I have decided that I am horrible at picking out my own photos because I end up developing emotional attachements to them.
So I need you guys to help me out.
Help me pick my entrant for photo of the year.

Trinty Church reflecting into John Hancock Tower, Boston Mass takening April. I love this one because of the reflection, the church, and I love how the cloulds continue on in the image.

UMTS bus pulls up to Hagis mall at the University of Massachusettes, Amherst. I love this one because of the mixture of "modes" of transportation. Taken sometime in the spring, actually it may have been summer. A extended exposure.

So why did I buy a crystal ball, I acutally saw this really tasteful nude photo done with a crystal ball, of course now I can find it now, but the crystal ball is a cool prop that sometimes makes mundane objects, or objects that have often been shot seem new again. I took this in July 05. Be careful with crystal balls, it also concentrates the sun light in your hands. Owie. The flag is the one that flys at the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, Deerfield MA.

At the time of this game UMass and JMU were tied for first in the league, the catch and the slide end up at the 1 yard line, UMass at the next play scores. UMass eventually wins the game. Funny thing is I hate shooting football....only my 2nd least favorite sport to cover after baseball ( I enjoy shooting swimming, track and a whole host of "olympic sports" over baseball and football). Warren G Mcquirk Statium, amherst MA

The Lenard P Zakin bridge, with the TD bank north garden in the background and parts of the financial district and waterfront buildings. Again Boston, taken in Novemeber, a extended exposure.

So help me out....which one to go with if any?

First of all: I like all the shots you posted. They're of a nice variety, and I love the quality in all of them. My comments are just meant to tell you why I like one the best. And that one is #1, for the reasons you posted in your description. In #2, I think the composition is a bit uneven (a large more blank area on the right, and a crowded area on the left. I like the use of the crystal ball in #3, but the subject doesn't work for me personally. I try to think global, so country flags don't do much for me. In #4 I love the action, and the hands on getting dirty feeling the picture shows. Football isn't all about glamour. #5 is a very nice nightshot, but in my opinion misses an extra that makes it stand out from other nice nightshots.
enjoy being here while getting there

Thanks guys I really appreciate the comments, this really helps me.....keep em coming.

( I tried to reshoot 1 for the reflections challenge the other day when I was in Boston and a) there were no clouds and b) I couldnt figure out how I took it, maybe if I had brought it with me I could of, I must of sat on the ground of something, cause I couldnt get that prepective again. Then again I think I shoot 1 with the MKII and now I am back to my 20d...dont know if that makes a difference of my wide not being wide enough.)

I like #1 and #3 best if I havd to choose #1 would win
Last one the nightshot would have been my first choice if the sky was blue
The shot just needs some sky color
    My .02
    All are nice :D

    Thanks
