When I saw the title, I thought I'd see more shots like #2 or multiple boats in a single image.

I agree with Ian. #1 is a great shot to set the stage. #2 would be better zoomed in on just the boat - the town in the bg just distracts from the "extremeness" of the tack. The story of that photo is the boat, so let's see it in full detail. The rest of the photos don't really go with the title of this thread, but they're pleasing on their own. Beautiful location.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

    Guys, you are absolutely right...

Let me just say that this was the first training session so no other boats were running on the water at the time i was on location.
My initial plan was to report the whole event, but unfortunately i had to attend other bussiness. My bad. I apologize for failing one more time :-(

Also - I'm not sure why we've gotten to the point where shadow is considered a bad thing. The HDR style of processing where all shadow is removed from the buildings really makes images look unnatural. It's one thing to bring out some needed detail from shadows - but removing them entirely is not, IMO, a good thing.

From the for what it's worth dept, I like the fourth one best. Problem is that city behind the boats really catches my eye right away and holds my attention. Beautiful old city, if only it could talk!
