Winter flowers

Still learning my D50. These were taken at the Arizona State Capital on Saturday. Of the 150 or so pictures that I took, I always seem to like the "different" ones. Taken with the 70-300G lens that I hear so much bad about. I don't know much yet about dSLR's, but I would say this lens isn't THAT bad.

And finally... my favorite. I don't know what these are called so I have officially named them palm tree dingle berries:dunno

That is the capital building in the background.

Hiya Stef,

while I really dig the composition and colours in the first picture (definitely my favourite from the 3) the thing that bugs me is the DOF, it's a personal thing, I just love the stem of flowers being in focus, and it is just slightly in front of the DOF (or so it appears)
