The World Tour went to New Orleans yesterday for some old time Voodoo and here is the first result.

I don't know if I want to take out the tombstones so if y'all have opinions, PLMK.

Love it, and I would leave the colors as they are. The stones I would remove as they pull a bit to much the attention away from the model....

    Woooha Voodoeee.

I would not remove the stones as they provide a solid base that form a nice triangular structure to the image.

To add to this, have some infocus. The table in the background is focused but the stones are not. This throws things off.

Love it but stones are distracting.

Let's try it this way and see if y'all like it better. Stained Glass window included, table top toned down, different crop, stones gone.

and this wasn't in the voodoo concept but the stone arch was too good to not shoot so, if anybody can suggest what concept this is (cause I have NO idea) I'd love to hear it.

I personely dont like the window. I enjoyed the mystery of whatever was on the table behind her luminating enough to rim her.

Thanks for chiming in Gaby. It really does show how subjective this whole thing can be.

    Fwiw
Prefer the 'with window' version as it gives a sense of 'location / setting' rather than just a studio setup ... irrespective of how it's been achieved.
Also makes the back lit hair make more sense.
Jagged bottom of window is acceptable, but not the fact that it's tilted.
    Table's still not level.
    Tops of tombstones showing.
Find the more centralised arrangement of orig shot better than the offset situation in #8 (probably because of close proximity of lhs of table top to frame?)
Think that having something like tombstones as a sense of setting is an ok idea - but better if a more integral aspect of the bg - rather than just added like an afterthought.
Find it difficult to get round thinking that her elbows are not resting on the things that're hanging down from her arms ... and keep looking for the poles that're supporting said items.

Interesting idea ... but would pic be better / worse /same if main subject was a (completely clad) wrinkled old crone ... rather than one used?

Re last shot in #8 ... makes me think she's having diet-based problems / ad for some sort of laxative.
