I grew up down the street from here. E 16th st. Coney Island brings back memories. The one below is my favorite. Definitely a keeper.

Hey - nice work - I think these three are too dark imo, which sometimes is okay, but give me some OOMPH if you're gonna go dark.

thanks andy, you're right. i felt like those three were missing something. i've been trying to get some good darker shots lately, but those are missing a certain pop. i don't think seeing the 1st shot at that size does it justice. here's the large, maybe this will help:

    thanks again!

I reeally like #3, but pier is too bright for my taste. I do love this lighting on the pier in #2 though. I think this would be a killer photo if you could possibly blend the 2 photos together to get the darkness of the pier from #2, but have the background and subject from #3.

I like #1 and #3 a lot. Very nice stuff there. #2 seems too contrasted for me, and #4 too dark. Great stuff!

    collapsible reflector
i like number three the best as it seems the best exposed and is nicely composed-as you are going into winter up there you might want to think about a collapsible reflector to get more light onto the subject-i use a small one which is diffuse white on one side and metallic mylar on the other.

thanks. it's funny that you mention the reflector, i've been wanting to get one for a while and just started shopping for prices today.
